Our trips
Canoeing, raft floats and camping trips on the Upper Zambezi. All trips include pickup from your accommodation in Victoria Falls.
Upper Zambezi canoeing
Our most popular trip. A game drive into the park, a morning on the river and lunch on the bank, back in town by early afternoon.
The day
- 07:00–07:45Pickup from your accommodation, followed by a short briefing on the day.
- Park gatePark fees are paid at the Zambezi National Park gate.
- About 1.5 hoursGame drive through the park to the launch site. Timing depends on what we see.
- Launch siteTea, coffee and a light breakfast, then a safety talk and paddling demonstration.
- On the waterCanoeing through scenic channels and small rapids.
- 13:30–14:00Lunch on the riverbank, then the drive back to town.

Upper Zambezi raft float
The Upper Zambezi is a beautiful stretch of river for a raft float, lined with ebonies, water berries, palms and a huge variety of acacia and albizia.
The route runs from the Zimbabwe side and passes a national park in Zambia and pristine bush. There’s a good chance of seeing elephant, giraffe, zebra and waterbuck, with plenty of birdlife.

Camping trips
Spend a night or two in the Zambezi National Park. Camping trips pick up in the morning or afternoon, with a stop for any groceries or personal items you need. The drive into camp is a two to three hour game drive.

Do I need canoeing experience?
No. Guests need to be reasonably fit and healthy, and we teach you to paddle on land before we launch. Nervous paddlers can share a canoe with a guide.
Age and group size
The minimum age is 9. There’s no upper age limit, though our guides will use judgement on the day. Day trips need a minimum of 2 guests, and we can arrange larger groups on request.
National park fees
Zambezi National Park fees are not included in the trip price and are paid at the park gate on the day.
Pickup from Zambia
If you’re staying in Livingstone, we can collect you from the Zimbabwe side of the border. Let us know when you book.
Valuables and phones
We recommend leaving valuables at your accommodation. You will get wet, so bring a waterproof pouch for your phone or camera.
Will we see animals?
Most trips see elephant, hippo, crocodile and plenty of birds, but wildlife is never guaranteed.
