Quick answer
Every trip starts with a full safety briefing and paddle training, first on land and then on the river. A guide is always with you, accompanied by a trainee or paddler, and we carry a comprehensive first aid kit and communications equipment. Staff and guests are registered with Ace Air and Ambulance for 24-hour road and air cover, and we are insured nationally and internationally.
Briefing and training before you paddle
You get a full safety briefing, then paddle training on dry land before you ever get on the water, and again on the river. No experience is needed, and the stretch we paddle is made up of channels, islands and small rapids.
Guides, first aid and communications
Your river guide is always accompanied by a trainee or paddler. We carry a comprehensive first aid kit and communications equipment on every trip.
Evacuation cover
Staff and guests are registered with Ace Air and Ambulance (Medical Air Rescue Services). This gives 24-hour road and air cover, with evacuation to the nearest private hospital if it is ever needed.
